Systems and equipment

What equipment can you sell?

Beaulieu equipment spans different film formats and camera generations. Please give the exact model name rather than just ‘Super 8’ or ‘cine camera’. Show the lens, battery and charger as well as the body.

01

Super 8 cameras

For cameras in families such as the 4008 and 6008, the complete model designation is useful. Show the grip, lens and all separate accessories.

02

16 mm equipment

We consider Beaulieu R16 and other 16 mm kits with their lenses and system components. You don’t need to measure technical specifications yourself for the enquiry.

03

Lenses and power

Lens markings, chargers and batteries help us document the kit. Explicitly mention missing or damaged power supplies.

What we need to assess your equipment

What details matter for Beaulieu equipment?

Alongside the exact camera model, the lens and power supply are particularly important. You can offer equipment that hasn’t been used for a long time without first testing it yourself.

01

Model and lens

Photograph the camera markings and all information on the lens.

02

Power supply

Show batteries, chargers and known modifications. Don’t charge damaged batteries for the enquiry.

03

Condition

Mention known faults, previous servicing and the accessories included. Don’t describe untested functions as working correctly.

You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.

Condition and preparation

Battery condition doesn’t establish camera condition

A camera that won’t start with an old battery hasn’t been fully diagnosed. Equally, hearing it run briefly doesn’t establish that every component works. Simply describe what you know. Don’t connect unfamiliar power adapters or force stuck or corroded parts.

How it works

From your first enquiry to handover

01 · SHOW US

Send photos

Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.

02 · AGREE

Discuss the offer

We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.

03 · HAND OVER

Agree the arrangements

We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Good to know

Questions about selling Beaulieu equipment

Can I offer a Beaulieu without a battery?

Yes, as part of your kit or collection. A missing power supply and the resulting uncertainty about condition will be taken into account.

Do I need to distinguish Super 8 from 16 mm myself?

No. Exact model markings and photos help us identify the equipment.

Should I include loose lenses?

Show all lenses and their mounts. Leave uncertain matches unidentified rather than trying to fit them.

How do you work out an offer?

We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.

How is the equipment handed over?

Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
