Getting started

How it works

An in-person handover can make sense because of the size or value of a collection, or the transport involved. We’ll agree on a time and place with you, so both sides know what equipment is included and what has been agreed.

01

Before the appointment

Show us all the equipment in a few clear photos. Include known faults, the approximate quantity and where it’s located. If you already have a list, send that too.

02

Agree on the offer

We’ll clarify any questions by email or WhatsApp and let you know whether we can buy the equipment. Once you’re happy with the offer, we can discuss an in-person handover.

03

Prepare for the handover

Keep accessories with the camera they belong to. Pack loose lenses and delicate parts separately. Bring the equipment we’ve agreed on, and let us know beforehand if you’d like to add anything.

What do you need to know before an appointment?

We’ll first discuss the equipment and a possible offer using your photos. Then we can agree on the place, time and items included in a handover or possible collection.

Equipment and offer

Send photos, details of known faults and a clear description of what you’re selling in advance. Where possible, resolve questions about the valuation before travelling.

Location and access

Tell us the postcode, number of boxes, any heavy items and the access arrangements. Use the confirmed handover address, and please don’t arrive without an appointment.

Arrangements

Agree on payment, timing and transport in advance. Let us know in good time if the equipment or appointment changes.

Good to know

Questions about handing over equipment in person

Can I bring my cameras straight over?

Please wait until we’ve confirmed a time and place. Send photos first so we can avoid an unnecessary journey.

Do you collect large camera collections?

Collection may be arranged for larger quantities. Whether it’s practical depends on the equipment, its location and the transport involved.

Will I only receive an offer at the appointment?

We aim to discuss the purchase beforehand using your photos and information. Wherever possible, we’ll resolve any questions before you travel.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
