Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment
Sell large-format lenses with their shutters and boards.
We consider large-format lenses from collections, inherited equipment and complete kits in Germany, across the EU and Switzerland. If you want to sell view-camera lenses or a complete large-format kit, photograph lenses, shutters and boards together. Exact markings are especially useful for identification.

Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
A large-format lens assembly may carry several manufacturers’ names: one on the lens, another on the shutter. Please don’t record only the most prominent marking. Photos of the front, rear and complete mounted assembly are more useful than a partial description.
Rodenstock and Schneider
Rodenstock and Schneider-Kreuznach lenses may have different mounts and shutters. Show the full name, focal length and maximum aperture.
Other view-camera lenses
Fujinon, Nikkor and older large-format lenses may also be part of a collection. You don’t need to determine the image circle or the format originally used before making an enquiry.
Shutters and boards
Keep shutters, lens boards, retaining rings and lens hoods together. Don’t remove lens cells for the photos. Mention missing parts and known problems in your message.
What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for large-format lenses?
Offer large-format lenses with their full markings and existing shutters. Describe the lens, shutter and board separately.
Optical components
Photograph front and rear markings, and mention visible haze, scratches or damage.
Shutter
Give the shutter type and known faults. Hearing it fire doesn’t establish accurate timing.
Mounting and accessories
Show boards, retaining rings, caps and filters. Don’t unscrew assemblies for the enquiry.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Describe the lens and shutter separately
Clear glass and a working shutter are separate aspects of condition. Mention visible scratches, haze or known shutter-release problems individually. Firing a shutter once doesn’t establish that all speeds are accurate. If it hasn’t been tested, saying ‘untested’ is enough.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.
Good to know
Questions about selling large-format lenses
Do I need to know the image circle?
No. We initially need the exact designation and photos. Please don’t guess technical specifications.
Should I unscrew the lens cells?
No. Leave mounted assemblies together. Dismantling isn’t needed for an initial assessment.
Do you exclude lenses with faulty shutters?
Not automatically. Describe the fault and show the whole collection. The model, condition and quantity determine the assessment.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
