Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment
Sell your Leica cameras and lenses as a collection.
We consider Leica cameras and lenses from collections, inherited equipment and complete kits in Germany, across the EU and in Switzerland. From screw-mount Leicas and M or R systems to digital equipment, show us your collection with its lenses and accessories. We prefer to assess everything together.

Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
Similar-looking Leica bodies and lens names can refer to different versions. Clear photos of the markings and an accurate description of condition are more useful than an assumption that something is rare. Please keep accessories, original packaging and documents with the equipment.
Screw-mount Leica and the M system
You can include Leica I, II and III cameras, along with film and digital M cameras. Where possible, photograph body markings, viewfinders and matching lenses together.
Leica R and other equipment
We’re also interested in Leica R bodies, matching lenses and mixed Leica collections as complete kits. If you’re unsure which system a lens belongs to, photograph its mount.
Leitz and Leica lenses
Names such as Summicron, Summilux, Elmarit or Summaron aren’t enough to identify the exact version. Your photos should clearly show the focal length, maximum aperture, barrel and serial number.

What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for a Leica collection?
Exact camera and lens details tell us far more about a Leica collection than age or item count alone. Keep cameras, lenses and related documents together for the photos where possible.
Identification
Photograph markings on bodies and lenses. Serial numbers help identify individual items, but they don’t establish their condition.
Condition and servicing
Mention known viewfinder, shutter or focusing problems, and any service records.
Matching parts
Include accessory viewfinders, lens hoods, motor drives, cases and original documents. Mark any items you want to keep.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Serial numbers help with identification
Our serial number tool can provide an initial guide to classic Leica cameras. A number alone does not establish current condition, originality or market value. We look at modifications, accessories and visible details on the actual equipment. You’re welcome to include service records with your enquiry.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.
Good to know
Questions about selling Leica equipment
Do I need to know the exact year of manufacture?
No. Clear photos of the model and serial number help with identification. You don’t need to research it yourself before getting in touch.
Can I offer Leica R equipment too?
Yes. Offer the R bodies, lenses and accessories together. We’ll assess the equipment as a whole.
Do you exclude untested or damaged Leica equipment?
Not necessarily. Describe known faults and signs of storage. We consider these items in the context of the collection.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
