Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment
Sell Bolex cameras from a collection or inheritance.
We consider Bolex collections, inherited equipment and complete kits from Germany, across the EU and Switzerland. A Bolex with interchangeable lenses, grips and a case is more than a single body. Photograph the whole kit. We’ll assess it and discuss a possible purchase with you.

Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
With older cine equipment, the model variant, lenses and actual condition are important. The Bolex name alone isn’t enough. Show visible model suffixes and all parts kept with the camera.
Bolex H16 and variants
Photograph the camera, model markings and serial number. Don’t assume reflex and other versions are identical because their bodies look similar.
Lenses and viewfinders
Show each lens separately with its front markings and mount. Viewfinders, lens hoods, filter holders and lens caps may matter to completeness.
Accessories and cases
Include grips, motors, magazines, cables and transport cases. You can offer other camera brands as part of a mixed cine collection too.

What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for Bolex equipment?
We assess a Bolex H16 or REX by its exact version, lenses and condition. A photo of the complete kit and readable individual markings provide the basis for an initial assessment.
Camera version
Show model and serial numbers. Mention modifications and supporting records separately.
Switar and other lenses
Photograph full lens markings, mounts and any adapters. Don’t identify a version from the name alone.
Drive and servicing
Describe the known running condition and include service records. A working spring motor doesn’t establish that the camera records correctly.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Don’t force spring motors or mechanisms
A camera stored for a long time doesn’t need to be wound or started for the initial assessment. If you’re unsure how it works or something is unusually stiff, leave it as you found it. Mention known drive, viewfinder or lens problems and include service records.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Questions about selling Bolex equipment
Should I wind the spring motor for the enquiry?
No. A test run isn’t required for the initial enquiry. Please don’t force movement if you’re unfamiliar with the controls.
Can I show just the remaining parts of a Bolex kit?
Yes. Lay out the parts clearly and mention known missing items. You don’t need to complete the kit yourself.
Do lenses by other manufacturers in the Bolex case matter?
Yes. Show every lens with its markings and mount. The camera and lens manufacturers need not be the same.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
