Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment
Sell Canon cine cameras with clear model details.
We consider Canon Super 8 collections, inherited equipment and complete kits from Germany, across the EU and Switzerland. If you have a Canon Super 8 camera or a collection of older cine equipment, photograph the camera, accessories and full model designation. We use those details to assess what you’re offering.

Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
Canon made several cine cameras with similar names. Suffixes such as XL and XL-S must therefore be included. You don’t need to film-test the cameras or research technical specifications yourself.
Show the camera clearly
Models such as the 310XL, 514XL, 814 XL-S and 1014 XL-S can be distinguished by their markings. Photograph the front and both sides of the body.
Lens and controls
Show the lens front, zoom ring, viewfinder and grip. Describe any known release, zoom or display problems without dismantling the camera.
Battery compartment and accessories
Show an accessible battery compartment and contacts, along with cases, microphones and cables. If the camera might still contain film, leave the film compartment closed.
What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for Canon Super 8 equipment?
The exact model name and known condition are important. Document the camera, power supply and cine accessories together.
Camera model
Show markings and controls from several angles.
Battery compartment and optics
Photograph visible residue, damaged contacts or known optical defects. Don’t attempt to clean delicate components.
Known use
Mention the last use and any test or service records. Distinguish between a motor that runs and a camera that has been tested with film.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Consider storage and battery-compartment condition
After long storage, the state of the power supply may be unclear. You don’t need to fit new batteries for the enquiry. Describe visible corrosion or missing battery covers and send a photo. Motor noise alone doesn’t establish reliable exposure, film transport or lens operation.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.
Good to know
Questions about selling Canon Super 8 equipment
Are the 514XL and 514 XL-S the same model?
No. Copy the exact marking from the body or send a photo so the version can be identified correctly.
Do I need to pay for a film test?
No new film test is needed for our initial assessment. You’re welcome to add information about the camera’s last use.
What if there’s still film in the camera?
Please don’t open the film compartment just for the enquiry. An exterior photo and a note that film may be present are enough to start with.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
