Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
Older professional cine equipment is often stored in cases with many additional parts. Keep those groupings intact initially. Give the camera name as precisely as possible, such as Caméflex, NPR or ACL, and photograph suffixes and signs of modification.
Camera and version
Photograph the body from several sides and show every model plate. If you don’t know the exact generation, you don’t need to research it before getting in touch.
Magazines and lenses
Include extra magazines, lenses, viewfinders and mount adapters. Show parts whose function or matching system you’re unsure of too.
Motors and power
Record motors, batteries, chargers, connecting cables and cases together. Tell us which components are missing and, if known, when the equipment was last used.
What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for Éclair equipment?
Document the camera, magazines, lenses and motor equipment together. Visible model markings and the actual components included are what matter.
Identification
Show camera markings and additional model plates from several angles.
Completeness
Photograph magazines, motors, power supplies, cables and lenses individually.
Test and service records
Document known servicing, modifications and last use. Clearly describe untested equipment as untested.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Don’t infer modifications from the body name
Older cine cameras may have had mounts, motors or formats altered. Invoices and service records can help document this. You don’t need to test film transport for the first enquiry. A factual account of the known condition is enough.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.
Good to know
Questions about selling Éclair equipment
Can I offer an Éclair without proof that it works?
Yes. Mark the camera as untested and mention known faults. You don’t need to carry out a test run.
What should I do with accessories I can’t identify?
Photograph them with the collection. Don’t discard them or try fitting them to unfamiliar connections.
Are complete production inventories of interest?
You can offer larger collections of related cine equipment. We’ll assess whether a purchase is possible based on the quantity, condition and location.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
