Systems and equipment

What equipment can you sell?

The original OM film SLRs form a distinct camera system. Please show the full camera names and lens markings in your enquiry. Digital Olympus or OM System equipment can also be included, but we identify it separately.

01

OM film camera bodies

The OM-1 and OM-2 are among Olympus’s best-known classic SLRs. Include any other OM models too, with all model suffixes visible and their accessories alongside.

02

Zuiko lenses

For Zuiko lenses, the focal length, maximum aperture and mount are useful. Group prime lenses, zooms, macro lenses and any teleconverters together for an initial overview.

03

System accessories

Your OM kit may include winders, motor drives, flash units, viewfinder accessories, extension tubes and lens hoods. Keep manuals and original boxes with the equipment.

What we need to assess your equipment

What details do we need about Olympus OM equipment?

Exact model variants and complete Zuiko lens markings help us assess an OM film camera kit. Photograph the bodies, lenses and system accessories together.

01

OM bodies

Give the model names and mention any known shutter, film advance or metering faults.

02

Zuiko lenses

Photograph the focal length, maximum aperture and other markings. Mention visible damage and any known aperture or focusing problems.

03

System accessories

Include motor drives, winders, viewfinder and macro accessories, and any service records.

You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.

Condition and preparation

Distinguishing film-era OM cameras from digital models

Similar names can appear on equipment from different generations. A photo of the actual camera is clearer than an abbreviated model name. Mention any known problems with the shutter, display, battery compartment or lens aperture. You do not need to run a test film or buy new batteries for our initial assessment.

How it works

From your first enquiry to handover

01 · SHOW US

Send photos

Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.

02 · AGREE

Discuss the offer

We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.

03 · HAND OVER

Agree the arrangements

We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Good to know

Olympus OM: frequently asked questions

Is this page about OM film cameras?

Yes. It focuses on Olympus film SLRs and their Zuiko lenses. You are welcome to offer mixed collections as well.

Can I show you an OM body without a lens?

Yes. We are particularly interested in seeing the whole collection, including any other cameras, lenses and accessories.

Should I replace old light seals first?

There is no need to do that before contacting us. Describe any known problems and show visible deterioration in your photos.

How do you work out an offer?

We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.

How is the equipment handed over?

Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
