Systems and equipment

What equipment can you sell?

Pentax made classic 35 mm cameras as well as extensive medium-format systems. We therefore consider a lens’s name alongside its mount and the rest of the equipment. You don’t need to sort everything by system before contacting us.

01

Pentax 6×7 and 67

Show bodies, lenses, prism finders and grips. The exact camera version and accessories should be identifiable; a description such as ‘Pentax medium format’ is too broad.

02

Pentax 645

For 645 kits, photograph all bodies, lenses, film holders and other accessories. You can include digital equipment in the same enquiry.

03

35 mm and Takumar

You can offer Spotmatic, K1000, MX, LX and other classic Pentax cameras with Takumar and SMC lenses. Show screw or bayonet mounts if you’re unsure which system they belong to.

Classic 35 mm SLRs

Spotmatic, K series, ME, MX and LX

Our buying interests include ordinary Pentax film SLR systems as well as medium format. Offer several bodies, matching lenses and accessories together. You can show us a kit assembled across different generations as a single collection.

Spotmatic and Takumar

For Spotmatic cameras and Takumar lenses, exact model names and photos of screw mounts are helpful. Include bellows, extension tubes and other macro accessories. You don’t need to test the equipment before your first enquiry.

Pentax K and compact SLRs

The K2, KX, KM, K1000, ME, ME Super, MX, LX and Super A are examples of classic Pentax 35 mm cameras. Photograph the markings and mention known shutter, metering or film-transport problems.

SMC lenses and accessories

Include prime, zoom and macro lenses, as well as winders, motor drives and flash units. Show full lens names, including designations such as M or A. Sharing a brand name doesn’t mean every possible combination will work.

What we need to assess your equipment

What details matter for Pentax equipment?

Pentax collections can contain different camera and lens systems. Exact markings and photos of mounts help us identify the 35 mm and medium-format equipment correctly.

01

Identifying the system

Photograph the full names on bodies and lenses. Don’t try connecting unfamiliar mounts.

02

Condition details

Describe known metering, film-transport, shutter or aperture faults. Keep untested functions clearly marked as untested.

03

Everything included

Show viewfinders, grips, backs, adapters and accessories beside the equipment they belong to. Include any surviving service records.

You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.

Condition and preparation

More than just the camera bodies

Individual lenses, viewfinders or accessories may be important to the overall offer for a Pentax collection, so keep everything together initially. Mention known metering, shutter or film-transport problems. You don’t need to buy new batteries or test film for our first assessment.

How it works

From your first enquiry to handover

01 · SHOW US

Send photos

Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.

02 · AGREE

Discuss the offer

We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.

03 · HAND OVER

Agree the arrangements

We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Good to know

Questions about selling Pentax equipment

Do you only buy Pentax medium-format equipment?

No. You can also offer classic 35 mm systems and mixed Pentax collections. It depends on the equipment you have.

Are Takumar lenses of interest without a camera?

Show them with the rest of your equipment. The mount, version and condition are important to the assessment.

Do I need to describe every item individually?

No. Clear photos and readable model names are enough to start with. We’ll ask for specific details if needed.

How do you work out an offer?

We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.

How is the equipment handed over?

Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
