Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment
Sell Plaubel Makina and large-format equipment.
We consider Plaubel collections, inherited equipment and complete kits from Germany, across the EU and Switzerland. If you have a Plaubel Makina or a Plaubel view camera with accessories, start with overall photos and clear model markings. We’ll assess it in the context of your collection.

Systems and equipment
What equipment can you sell?
The Plaubel name covers different camera designs. A compact Makina and a large view camera can’t be assessed from the manufacturer’s name alone. The camera’s form, markings and matching components help with an initial assessment.
Makina cameras
Show your Makina from the front, back and side. For versions such as the Makina 67 or 670, photograph the model name and lens markings particularly clearly.
View cameras
For larger Plaubel systems, show the standards, bellows, rail or monorail and backs. A photo of the setup as you find it is more useful than an uncertain parts list.
Lenses and accessories
Include lens boards, shutters, film holders, viewfinders and cases. Leave fitted lenses on their boards if you’re unfamiliar with removing them.
What we need to assess your equipment
What details matter for Plaubel equipment?
We first need to identify the exact Plaubel version. For a compact camera, photograph the whole instrument; for a view camera, also show the individual system components.
Identifying the model
Send camera and lens markings and overall views from several angles.
Bellows and mechanisms
Mention visible tears, damage or known stiffness. Don’t dismantle delicate parts for the enquiry.
Accessories
Include any viewfinders, film holders, backs, boards and transport cases.
You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.
Condition and preparation
Treat folding mechanisms and bellows gently
Don’t force mechanisms that have been stored for a long time. If a camera won’t open easily, photograph it closed and describe what happens. Visible damage, a stuck movement or known meter problems also help inform the assessment.
How it works
From your first enquiry to handover
Send photos
Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.
Discuss the offer
We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.
Agree the arrangements
We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.
Good to know
Questions about selling Plaubel equipment
Do I need to know which Makina version I have?
No. Photos of the markings and body are enough for an initial overview. You don’t need to identify it yourself.
Can I offer a disassembled view camera?
Yes. Lay out the parts clearly. Please don’t try assembling the system by guesswork.
Does damaged bellows rule out a purchase?
Not automatically. Show and describe the damage. We assess the condition and completeness of the whole kit.
How do you work out an offer?
We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.
How is the equipment handed over?
Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.
Your next step
Show us your equipment.
Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
