Sell Praktica SLR cameras and East German equipment

Analog Lounge · Camera collections and equipment

Sell your Praktica collection as a whole.

Analog Lounge GmbH considers Praktica and East German photographic equipment from collections, estates and complete inventories for purchase across Germany, the EU and Switzerland. Praktica bodies, Pentacon lenses and Carl Zeiss Jena lenses often form part of a mixed collection. Show us the whole lot before trying to value each camera individually.

Systems and equipment

What equipment can you sell?

For common film cameras, the contents of the collection matter particularly. Several bodies, lenses and accessories can be more viable as a group than a single basic body. Include small accessories and clear photos of the full lens names.

01

Classic Praktica SLRs

You can offer the MTL 5 and other Praktica SLRs together. Photograph the exact model names: bodies that look similar are not necessarily the same version.

02

Different lens mounts

Praktica equipment may include both screw-mount and bayonet-mount lenses. Please show the mounts. A shared manufacturer’s name does not mean that every component is interchangeable.

03

East German lenses and accessories

Include Pentacon and Carl Zeiss Jena lenses, extension tubes, bellows and viewfinder accessories. Mixed collections can also contain cameras from other manufacturers.

What we need to assess your equipment

What details do we need about Praktica and East German equipment?

We assess the complete collection when preparing an offer for Praktica and other East German photographic equipment. The number of items or an old catalogue valuation alone does not establish a current purchase price.

01

Overview

Photograph larger collections in clear groups. Make any duplicate models visible.

02

Lenses

Show the full markings and mounts of Pentacon, Carl Zeiss Jena and other lenses.

03

Condition

Describe storage conditions, known damage and anything untested. Do not discard unassuming adapters, extension tubes or small parts before showing us.

You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.

Condition and preparation

Today’s offer depends on the collection and its condition

An old catalogue price is not a binding current purchase value. Our offer depends on the exact models, their condition and the size of the lot. Mention known shutter faults, stiff lenses or visible haze. Please show us the equipment before commissioning speculative repairs.

How it works

From your first enquiry to handover

01 · SHOW US

Send photos

Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.

02 · AGREE

Discuss the offer

We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.

03 · HAND OVER

Agree the arrangements

We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Good to know

Praktica: frequently asked questions

Do you buy every individual Praktica?

Buying a single basic body is often not economical. Collections, mixed lots and complete kits with several items are generally more suitable.

Do I need to sort the East German cameras first?

No. Photograph the equipment in clear groups. We will ask for more detailed views if needed.

Will you use an old collector’s catalogue to set the price?

Not automatically. A current offer depends on the actual equipment, its condition and its resale prospects.

How do you work out an offer?

We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.

How is the equipment handed over?

Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
