Systems and equipment

What equipment can you sell?

Yashica made several types of camera and SLR system, so an exact model name is more useful than simply describing a camera as an old Yashica. You do not need to identify the lens mount yourself: clear overview photos and legible markings are enough to get started.

01

FX and FR cameras

Classic Yashica SLRs include the FX-3 and the FR series. Photograph the full model name, including any suffix such as Super.

02

Yashica lenses

A collection assembled over time may include Yashinon and ML lenses. Show the focal length, maximum aperture and mount. If adapters are fitted, tell us which components were kept together.

03

Other Yashica equipment

Your collection may also contain viewfinder cameras, twin-lens reflex cameras or other Yashica accessories. Include them in the same enquiry; we will identify each system separately.

What we need to assess your equipment

What details do we need about Yashica equipment?

We need the exact camera and lens names. You can offer a mixed collection even if you have not identified which system each item belongs to.

01

Camera bodies

Photograph the model name and controls clearly. Mention any known faults.

02

Lenses

Show each lens’s markings and mount. Keep lenses from different systems separate for now.

03

Contents of the kit

Include adapters, flash units, filters and bags in your overview. Mark any keepsakes that are not for sale.

You don’t need to carry out repairs or full functional tests before getting in touch. Describe known faults and mark untested items clearly. Answers about assessments, shipping and payment.

Condition and preparation

Show both the markings and the mount

The Yashica name alone does not establish whether lenses are interchangeable. Photograph the actual mounts, or leave existing camera-and-lens combinations together. Mention any known faults with metering, the shutter or film advance. If a camera has spent years in storage and has not recently been checked reliably, describe it as untested.

How it works

From your first enquiry to handover

01 · SHOW US

Send photos

Send photos showing the equipment. Mention known faults and, for larger collections, where it is located.

02 · AGREE

Discuss the offer

We’ll clarify any missing details and assess the equipment as a whole. You then decide whether the offer works for you.

03 · HAND OVER

Agree the arrangements

We agree on shipping or an in-person handover and payment in advance. For large collections, we can discuss possible collection.

Good to know

Yashica: frequently asked questions

Do I need to know which lens mount I have?

No. Clear photos help us identify it. Please do not force an unfamiliar lens onto a camera to try it out.

Can I include a Yashica Mat in the same enquiry?

Yes. Show us all the cameras in your collection. We distinguish twin-lens reflex cameras from SLR systems when assessing them.

Are ordinary Yashica SLRs of interest?

Include them with their lenses and any other equipment. We assess whether a purchase is viable by looking at the collection as a whole.

How do you work out an offer?

We consider the exact versions, described condition, completeness and all the equipment included. We therefore can’t promise a price based on a brand name alone.

How is the equipment handed over?

Once we agree on a sale, we arrange shipping or an in-person handover. For larger quantities, we can discuss collection if needed. Please contact us before sending any equipment.

Your next step

Show us your equipment.

Send us photos of your collection, inherited equipment or complete camera kit. A few clear pictures and a note about the condition are enough to get started.
