How do you sell an East German camera collection?
You can offer East German cameras, lenses and accessories to Analog Lounge as a complete collection. Our initial assessment depends on the actual models, their condition and what is included. An old catalogue value or the number of items alone is not enough.
What should you show us together?
Photograph cameras, lenses, attachments and accessories as a collection. You do not need to separate mixed equipment by country of origin or manufacturer first.
Praktica and camera collections
Make model markings and duplicate items visible. Photograph large collections in groups.
Praktica and collectionsCarl Zeiss Jena lenses
Show the full lens names and mounts. Include caps, filters and adapters.

M42 is a mount designation. We also need the manufacturer and model.
M42 lensesWhy is a catalogue value different from a purchase offer?
A catalogue can help identify equipment, but it does not necessarily reflect current demand or your collection’s condition. An offer for the whole lot also takes account of duplicate items, inspection work, accessories and pieces with less resale potential.
We do not quote a flat price per item for unseen collections. Start by showing us the equipment you actually have.
How should you photograph many similar cameras?
Arrange the equipment in clear groups and photograph each group with the markings legible. You can attach an existing list, but you do not need to prepare a complete inventory before contacting us.
- Show each lens from the front and from the mount side.
- Describe known faults, storage conditions and anything untested.
- Include an overview of boxes, bags and accessories.
- Tell us whether you want to sell everything or keep certain pieces.
Offer the complete collection
We assess whether a purchase is viable by looking at the whole collection. Shipping, possible collection and payment are agreed in advance.
