Rare models and familiar classics

Film cameras continue to interest photographers and collectors, but values vary widely. A Hasselblad, Mamiya or Contax needs to be identified and assessed on its own merits. The same applies to classics such as the Nikon F, Canon F-1 and Leica M3. Model, version, condition and completeness all matter. Clear photographs help distinguish a Voigtländer Bessa variant, read a Rollei serial number or assess visible wear on a Kodak Retina.

How to get started

Send overview photos of the cameras, lenses and accessories, together with any details you already have. We use the brand, model, described condition and resale prospects to assess a possible purchase.

You can show us a mixed collection, from Agfa to Zeiss and from simple box cameras to medium-format systems. Our service is an initial assessment for a possible purchase; it is not a formal insurance valuation or a guarantee of a particular market price.

More than a price

A camera’s personal value can lie in the photographs it made and the people associated with it. Its resale value is a different question. A free initial assessment can help you decide what to do with equipment you no longer need.
